A Hummingbird Lane, Lula, man and his girlfriend allegedly got into an argument over money this past weekend. The man told the Banks County Sheriff’s Office deputy, who responded to the scene after being contacted by his girlfriend, that the two were arguing over finances and about getting their vehicle fixed. The man said his girlfriend left the residence to stay with her mother for the night. After his girlfriend left, the man said he “got mad and threw a wrench A two-vehicle accident on Steven B. Tanger Boulevard at the inter section of East Ridgeway Road was one of several accidents the Banks County Sheriff’s Office responded and hit the hood of the car.” The wrench then bounced off the car’s hood and broke the windshield. The BCSO also responded to the following domestic-related incidents during the past week: •custody dispute at a Sims Harris Road, Gillsville, residence. •dispute at a Hickory Flat Road, Gillsville, residence. •threats at a Hwy. 441 location. •phone harassment at a Rock Springs Road, Alto, residence. •custody dispute at a Hwy. 441 address. to during the past week. Other acci dents included: •two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 15 North at the intersection of Eisenhower Drive. •threat at a Chase Lane, Homer, residence. •harassing phone calls and text messages to a Hwy. 59, Commerce, resident. •phone harassment at a Caudell Road, Homer, residence. •terroristic threats at a Hwy. 441 residence. •harassing phone calls at a Greasy Creek Road, Homer, residence. •juvenile problem at a Hebron Road, Commerce, residence. •disputes at a Barrett Road, Alto, residence. •two-vehicle accident at the entran ce to Wal-Mart. •one-vehicle accident on Yonah- Homer Road. •hit-and-run on I-85 South. The Banks County News Accidents responded to in county during past week Man reports receiving threat via e-mail A Damascus Road resident said he was threatened by an e-mail message last week. The man said the message said if he did not provide the e-mail sender money he would “kill him.” The complainant said he didn’t have a printer to print the e-mail but he would save it. The BCSO also responded to the following incidents during the past week: •removal of a man from a Stephens Road, Commerce, resi dence. •suspicious person at a Wynn Lake Road address. •alarm at Banks County High School which proved to be false. •vehicle fire on I-85 at mile marker 155. •suspicious person in area of Yonah-Homer Road. •suspicious person in area of Hwy. 15 at English Road. •alarm at a residence on Hwy. 51 South, Gillsville. •911 hang-up from a payphone on Tanger Drive. •recovery of a stolen vehicle at a Hwy. 320, Carnesville, address. •livestock in roadway on Hwy. 198. •alarm at First Georgia Bank on Historic Homer Highway which appeared to be false. •assisted motorist whose vehicle had stopped operating on I-85 in area of mile marker 152. •suspicious vehicle on Woodland The Banks County News is your source for local news and events.
