Office reported 20 arrests
during the past week
including the following:

Tools stolen from Grove Level Road residence
A Grove Level Road resident
contacted the Banks County
Sheriff’s Office March 23 stating
several tools had been stolen from
his garage.
The resident said the garage door
also had damage to its hinges. The
victim said he would make a list
of all tools taken along with serial
numbers if possible.
The BCSO also responded to the
following incidents during the past
week:
•stolen computer and com
puter bag from a motel room at
America’s Best Inn.
•trespassing at an Ervin Chambers
Road address.
•animal complaint at an Otis
Brown Road residence.
•trespassing on Christmas Tree
Road, Homer.
•trespassing on Hwy. 59.
•dispute at Nova Cinema.
•alarm at a Hwy. 323, Gillsville,
residence.
•livestock in roadway on Hwy.
63 at mile marker 5.
•alarm at a Historic Homer
Highway address.
•shots fired on Buckeye Trail.
•911 hang-up from a Hwy. 441
address.
•suspicious person at Howard
Johnson on Hwy. 441.
•tree in roadway on Harmony
Church Road.
•alarm at Georgia-Carolina Auto
Auction on East Ridgeway Road.
•burglar alarm at Applebee’s
on East Ridgeway Road which
appeared to be false.

proved to be a false call.

•gas drive off of $146.91 from
TA Truck Stop.
•livestock in roadway in area of
Carson-Segars Road and Mountain
Creek Lane.
Superior Court
14 receive sentences in recent court session
Fourteen people were sentenced
in recent court proceedings held in
the Banks County Superior Court,
including the following:
•Kenneth Sherman Halley, manu
facturing marijuana and possession
of marijuana, $750 fine.
•Julie Kelli Douglas, possession of
cocaine, possession of hydrocodone
and forgery, four years probation
and $1,500 fine.
•Fred Alex Gosnell, simple bat
tery, 12 months probation and $500
fine.
•Benjamin John Haney, public
drunkenness, 12 months probation
and $500 fine.
•Gary Lee Henson Jr., criminal
trespass, 12 months probation and
$500 fine.
•Robert Wayne Hicks, disorderly
conduct, 12 months probation, no
violent contact with the victim and
$500 fine.
•Christian Lee Holland, underage
consumption of alcohol, six months
probation and $300 fine.
•Brooke Elise Holman, possession
of marijuana, no proof of insurance
and affixing license plate to conceal
identity of vehicle, 12 months pro
bation and $500 fine.
•Porsha Benika Martin, possession
of marijuana, 12 months probation
and $500 fine.
•Guadalupe Mora-Gavina, stalk-
ing, 12 months probation, no contact
with the victim and $500 fine.
•Rebecca Lynn Reynolds, theft by
shoplifting, 12 months probation,
$500 fine and restitution.
•Billy Joe Tullis, giving a law
enforcement officer a false name
and date of birth, 30 days in jail.
•Emily Leilain Pettus, shoplifting,
12 months probation, $500 fine, res
titution and must re-enroll in school
full-time and remain so during pro
bation.
•Kimberly Stinchcomb, shoplift
ing, 12 months probation, $500 fine,
restitution and must re-enroll in
school full-time and remain so dur
