BCMS: Honoring Student-Athletes
BASKETBALL HONORS
Jordan Rogers (left) was named Most Improved Player for the
BCMS Lady Leopards while Sabrina Porter was the winner of a
Hustle Award.
LADY LEOPARD AWARDS
Ashley Morris (left) was the winner of a Hustle Award for her
play during the 2007-08 season while Katlin Parks was named
team MVP.
GRIDIRON RECOGNITION
Eli Smallwood (left) was the winner of the Most Valuable
Defensive Player Award while teammate Jacob Blalock won the
Most Valuable Offensive Player Award.
LADY LEOPARD SOCCER
Winners of soccer awards for the 2008 season included Marissa Lewis (Most Improved), Carla
Blaco (Hustle Award), Haley Warner (MVP) and Porsche Parson (MVP).
BOYS SOCCER
Jacob Samples was named the Team MVP for the BCMS boys
soccer team while Cristobal Monreal earned the Hustle Award
at the recent sports banquet.
FCA AWARD
Ashley Morris was the winner
of the Servant's Heart Award.
MATLEOPARDS
Helping the BCMS wrestling team to another successful season were Mason Patton (Captain's
Award), Eli Smallwood (Captain's Award), Joseph Denton (Captain's Award), Andy Baker (An
Pham Hustle Award) and Hayden Dilbeck (Most Outstanding).
LEOPARD BASKETBALL
Coach John Bertrang presented basketball awards to Gatlin Boswell (Scholar-Athlete), Mark
Loggins (Scholar-Athlete), Jacob Blalock (Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year), Gregory
Cannon (Offensive Player of the Year) and Isaiah Smith (Scholar Athlete).
CHEER FOR THE LEOPARDS
Lindsey Eller (Leopard Award), Megan Colbert (Coach's Award) and Kara
Murphy (Spirit Award) were recognized for their contributions to the
BCMS cheerleading team for 2007-08.
RUNNING LEOPARDS
Macy Milford (Coach's Award) and Maggie McCoy (Most Valuable
Runner) were recognized for their standout efforts during the
BCMS cross country season.
TENNIS ACES
Jake Schaefer and Kara Murphy were the top tennis
players for BCMS this spring.
