Mr. Brown made a lot of friends that he considered family, loved ones stated. He was born in Gwinnett County on November 28, 1916, the son of the late E. Webb and Florence Puckett West. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills, where he worked for several years, was for merly employed with Edward Flor Saddle Tree Manufacturing Company for several years, and also worked in a CCC Camp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mullinax West; brother, Eston West; sisters, Zora Knight and Irene Sexton. Mr. West was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II, where he served as a military policeman. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Joyce and Leon London and Sylvia Woodall, all of Cornelia; sisters, Ruth Kelley, Lithia Springs, and Dorothy Wilson, Powder Springs; sister-in-law, Leota Mullinax, Clarkesville; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Myers; grand son, Jerry Myers; sister, Catherine Ojalia; and brothers-in-law, Johnny Dubois and Johnny Black. Mr. Myers was a veteran, having served in the United States Army with honor dur ing the Vietnam Conflict, receiving the Bronze Service Star and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He owned and operated Patton and Patton Survey Company and served as the Hall County Surveyor for 40 years. He was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He coached little league baseball and was dedicat ed to the young boys he coached. He was also a member of the Gainesville Masonic Lodge. Mr. Patton was a vet eran, having served in the United States Navy during World War II.
