A Historic Homer Highway
woman made a complaint to the
Banks County Sheriff’s Office on
June 5 concerning harassing cell
phone calls her juvenile sister has
been receiving.
The woman said her sister was
receiving several calls from an
unknown male. The cell phone num
ber was provided to the responding
investigator. The woman also said it
sounded like the calls were coming
from an older male who was “gay.”
In other incidents during the past
week, the BCSO responded to:
•alarm at a Historic Homer
Highway residence which proved to
be a false as a man set the alarm off
after feeding his cats.
•oil leak on I-85 South causing a
road hazard.
•damage to mailbox at a Hebron
Road, Commerce, residence.
•alarm at a Sullivan Drive, Homer,
residence which proved to be false.
•alarm at Banks County High
School which proved to be false.
•alarm at Homer Hardware which
proved to be false.
•alarm at Pritchett Tire which
proved to be false.
•alarm at a Millstone Drive,
Commerce, residence which
appeared to be false.
•reckless driving on Hwy. 15 near
Steven B. Tanger Boulevard.
