Nails Creek to host benefit soon Nails Creek Baptist Church, Banks County, will host a ben efit chicken-que and singing Friday, July 25. The benefit is being held to help with the medical expenses of Vietnam veteran Ron Baker, who is battling cancer. The chicken-que will be from 3 to 7 p.m. with tickets costing $6 each. Tickets may be purchased at Lewallen’s grocery, located at the crossroads of Hwy. 63 and 198. Special service to be held in July Webbs Creek Baptist Church, Banks County, will host a special service Sunday through Wednesday, July 20-23. Lynn Ford Gibson was appointed to her second year at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church at the annual conference of the North Georgia United Methodist Church held recently in Athens.
