The benefit is being held to help with the medical expenses of Vietnam veteran Ron Baker, who is battling cancer. The chicken-que will be from 3 to 7 p.m. with tickets costing $6 each. Tickets may be purchased at Lewallen’s grocery, located at the crossroads of Hwy. 63 and 198. Gospel singing to be held August 2 Community Chapel Church will host a gospel singing Saturday, August 2, at 6 p.m. The featured singers will be “Danny Ray Bartlett,” “Down To Earth,” “Jim Scroggs,” “The Peek Family” and “The Maxwells.” A covered dish and cake auction will be held.
