He was born on May 22, 1949, in Habersham County, the son of the late Hix and Beulah Mae Herrin Faulkner. He at tended the Holly Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Jason Faulkner; and a brother, Leon Faulkner. He was a friendly and caring person to all that knew him, loved ones stated. Survivors include his wife, Patti Chastain Faulkner, Alto; mother- in-law and father-in-law, L.M. and Marie Chastain, Mt. Hubert Murray Hubert Murray, 89, of Clarkesville, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at his residence, following a brief illness. Born in Banks County on July 7, 1919, he was the son of the late Judge and Amanda Crump Mur ray and was Baptist. Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Ivie Mur ray; son-in-law, Kenneth Baumgardner; sisters, Minnie Cotton, Irene Pritchett, Montene Mor gan, Florence Stowe, Ruth Hicks and Grace Parker; brothers, William, Dorsey, G.C., Bruce and Jr. Murray. He was a vet eran, having served in the United States Army during World War II, and being recipient of sev eral medals, including a Good Conduct medal, Bronze Service medal, and an American De fense Service medal. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #7720, enjoyed gardening, and was best known for rid ing his buggy in parades throughout the Northeast Georgia area. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Baum gardner, Clarkesville; sister, Gertrude Wade, Cornelia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Friday, August 29, in the chapel of McGahee- Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Jon athan Fitzpatrick offici ating. Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Glen and Nettie Law rence Crump. Mr. Crump was preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda Parr Crump. Donald Crisler Donald Crisler, 81, of Alpharetta, died away Monday, September 1, 2008, at Embracing Hos pice in Cumming, follow ing an extended illness. Born in Maysville on May 9, 1927, he was the son of the late Rob ert Garr and Thara Cor nelia Richey Crisler. He served in the Army dur ing World War II, in Bre men Germany. He was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Cum ming for about 15 years. Mr. Crisler was preceded in death by his wife, Lou ise Horton Crisler; a son Keith Crisler; brothers and sisters; J. D. Crisler, Helen Little, Robert Cris ler, Bernice Parker, Sue Jacques, Martha Cris ler, Sadie Turner, Harold Crisler, John Crisler and Faye Jones. Survivors include daughtersand son-in-law, Donna and Danny Silvers and Debbie Gilleland; grandchildren, Derin and Drew Silvers, Alpharetta, Caleb and Hannah Gille land, Cumming; brother, Jack and Junan Crisler, Athens; and many other family and friends. Wilson; and a sister, Mary Ruth Hall.
