ter.
They are: Brandon Wor
ley, Homer; and Corie Mi
chelle Young, Maysville.
Students named as dean’s
scholars for the semester
have earned a perfect 4.0
grade point average.
Area students earn UGA degrees
Two Banks County stu
dents earned degrees from
the University of Georgia
during summer semester.
They are: Maggie Leigh
Anne Elrod, Commerce,
bachelor of science in family
and consumer sciences; and
Amy Denise Turk, Maysville,
master of education.

ASSISTANT
The purpose of this classification is to
maintain, install and troubleshoot
computers and hardware.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High
school diploma or GED; Must have basic
knowledge of computers, including trouble
shooting and installing and maintaining
personal computers and printers. Must
have networking knowledge. Must be
capable of working closely with others and
must be capable of working with limited
supervision. A drug screen and background
check will be required.

in the Commissioner's Office located at
the new Banks County Annex.

JUDGING COMPETITION
Members of the Banks County High School FFA Livestock Judging team re
cently attended the University of Georgia Livestock Judging Camp. Team
members attending included, from left, Brett Boling, Michael Patterson, Cody
McMahan, Carson Bentley, Caiti Brown and Faith Turk. Brett Boling placed
third overall in the Junior Contest. Caiti Brown and Carson Bentley placed
third and fourth respectively in the senior contest. Team members placed in
market sheep, breeding ewes, market hogs, breeding gilts, Limousin heifers,
and Angus heifers. FFA Judging Team members were also required to give
oral reasons on Angus heifers.

The Maysville Elemen
tary School PTO will host
its annual Miss Autumn
Leaf Pageant on Saturday,
Sept. 27, at 4 p.m.
The event will be held
in the auditorium of East
Jackson Comprehensive
High School.
Entry applications are
available at MES and
many Maysville business
es. The entry deadline is
Friday, Sept. 19, at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $3 for
adults, $1 for students,
and free for children three
and under.
