The Rev. Johnny Ray offici ated. The bride is the daughter of Marty and Lewis Elrod of Com merce. The groom is the son of Carol Finley, Athens, and Mar vin Poe, Monroe. The bride was given in mar riage by her father. Misty Brown served as maid of honor. Other bridal atten dants were Melissa Lewis, Kathy Brock and Lauren Can non. Emma Brown served as flower girl. Marvin Poe was best man for his son. Other groomsmen were Brian Gower, Joe Holbrook and Kasey Odom. Cameron Poe, Hoke Poe and Luke Elrod were ring-bearers, and Josh Green and Steven Barber were ushers. Lori Pursley provided a pro gram of music for the occa sion. The bride was given in mar riage by her father. Kristen Weatherby served as maid of honor, and Kelly Knight and Jenny Loving were bridal atten dants. Cadience M. Mountain, daughter of the couple, was the flower girl. Charles Mountain served as best man, and Matt Mountain was the groom’s attendant. Mikey Mountain was the ring bearer. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Jeffer son clubhouse. After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the couple resides in Plant City, Fla. MR. AND MRS. MOUNTAIN Dalton awarded UGA scholarship Jennifer Dalton has been se lected to receive the Henry L. Reaves Scholarship awarded by the University of Georgia Col lege of Agricultural and Envi ronmental Sciences for the 2008- 2009 academic year. The Henry L. Reaves Scholarship is one of over $100,000 in scholarship monies which are awarded annu ally by the College of Agricultur al and Environmental Sciences. The Henry L. Reaves Scholar ship Fund was established by friends of Henry L. Reaves in honor of his service to Georgia Agriculture and to perpetuate his love and support of Georgia’s youth. This scholarship is award- Jennifer Dalton ed to students based on interest in studies related to production agriculture, an industrious work ethic, and a strong desire to serve production agriculture in Geor gia after graduation. Dalton is a 2007 graduate of Banks County High School where she was a member of the Y-Club, FFA, and Beta Club. Upon entering UGA Jennifer was accepted in the Food Animal VIP program. She has also been involved with Sigma Alpha So rority and Collegiate FFA while attending UGA. Dalton is a sophomore major ing in animal science in the Col lege of Agricultural and Environ mental Sciences at the University of Georgia. After graduation Jen nifer plans to pursue a career in Veterinary medicine. She is the daughter of Freddie and Nancy Dalton of Banks County. MISS. GILLESPIE AND MR. STEVENS Scott and Jill Shore Wilbank, Commerce announce the birth of a daughter, Allison Danielle Wilbanks, on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
