City of Maysville
NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
Please take notice that the City Council of the
City of Maysville, Georgia will hold a public
hearing on October 6, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at
the Maysville Public Library to receive public
comments on the application of James Short
to annex property located at Highway 98,
Maysville, Georgia, known as the Maysville
Business Center, containing 21.23 acres and
6.035 acres on Highway 98 adjoining the
Maysville Business Center. In connection with
the annexation of the property the council
will hold a public hearing at that same time
and date for a proposed amendment to the
Zoning Map of the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Maysville to set the zoning of the
property to Industrial (I). Under current
Jackson County zoning rules, the property is
zoned General Industrial. A copy of the
applications are available for public
inspection at the Maysville City Hall.
A regular meeting of the City Council will be
held immediately following the public hearing
at which the adoption of the annexation
ordinance and the zoning category will be
considered.
