Chapman said there were
two residences at this loca

mobile home. No other drugs
were found on the premises at
the time the search warrants
were executed. Chapman
said.
Arrests warrants had already
been obtained for the two sus

a controlled substance prior
to the execution of the search
warrants. Chapman added.
The Bagwells were both
booked in to the Banks Coun

> Over 12 years experience in the Tax Commissioners Office from 1995-2008
> 3 years experience as Deputy Tax Commissioner after being appointed by the current Tax
Commissioner in 2005
> Trained every clerk hired from November 1995 - January 2008, when I resigned to run for Tax
Commissioner
> Several improvements need to be implemented making it more effective and efficient
> I have proven that I am very good at serving the citizens of Banks County
What do you intend to do differently from the current administration?
There are several issues that need to be addressed as I step into the position of being YOUR next Tax
Commissioner. Some of the most pressing issues are as follows:
> BALANCED CHECKBOOK
> MONIES DISBURSED AND PAID OUT to appropriate offices and agencies such as the Banks
County Commissioners, the Banks County Board of Education, and the State of Georgia Dept,
of Revenue EVERY MONTH
> DEPOSITS MADE DAILY
> ACCEPTING PAYMENT OF SALES TAX due on vehicles purchased from out-of-state businesses so
that Banks County citizens don’t have to travel to Athens to pay this tax before registering
their vehicles.
> IMPROVING COMMUNICATION between the Tax Commissioner’s Office and Banks County citizens
and the offices and agencies that we must work together with to fulfill the responsibilities of our
positions.
> CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE OF PROFESSIONALISM
Why are you running against a long time incumbent?
I did not intend to run against the incumbent. It was my understanding 4 years ago that she planned to
retire and at the time she approached me to consider running for Tax Commissioner in the 2008
election. However, in January of this year, she suddenly announced her intention of seeking re-election.
I simply followed through with what we discussed in 2004, that I would RUN FOR BANKS COUNTY TAX
COMMISSIONER in 2008.
Remember...You are and have been worth my time and I will be worth your vote!
