PAGE 8A THE BANKS COUNTY NEWS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2008 Church Living an abundant life In John 10:10, Jesus tells us that he came so that we could have abundant life, but rarely do we really live abundant ly in Christ Jesus. So often we find ourselves tossed about when trouble comes, facing de pression doubt and gin to overtake you speak the following. “For It is written that the Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saves such as be of a contrite spirit,” according to Psalm 34:18. When the enemy whispers in your fear. Many times, these things are brought to us by our en emy, the devil. Are we going to continue to live in defeat, or are we going to begin to seek that abundant life that we have been promised? When we find ourselves in fear because of something that has come our way, I pray that we will begin to speak the fol lowing. “For it is written, the Lord does not give us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind,” ac cording to 2 Timothy 1:7. When we find doubt trying to overtake us, let us answer with this. “For it is written, Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trust in thee,” according to Isaiah 26:3. Are you broken hearted be cause of a relationship that seems to be in turmoil? When thoughts of that situation be- ear that things are not going to get better speak the following. “FOR IT IS WRITTEN, many are the afflictions of the righ teous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all,” according to Psalm 34:19. If we continue in our faith fulness to God; He will be faithful to us. “For it is writ ten, seek ye first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you,” Matthew 6:33. Begin to pray and ask God to help you come out of your sufferings and be about HIS business. We have HIS prom ise that he will take care of ev erything. That is when we will find abundant life.
