MAYSVILLE WELCOMES SPA INTO TOWN
The Calidonna Salon & Spa in Maysville held a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Monday. Mem
bers of the city council and Community Bank & Trust showed their support for the Maysville busi
ness. The spa donated $130 to the children’s program at the Maysville Library after the ribbon cutting

DHR heating assistance
program taking applications
The Georgia Department
of Human Resources is help
ing some households pay for
heating costs.
Households in which every
member is 65 and older or in
which every member is com
pletely unable to leave the
home due to health reasons,
may apply for assistance with
their home heating bills, start
ing Nov. 3.
When applying for assis
tance, persons will be required
to present verification of age
for everyone in the home,
verification of all household
income received within the
past 30 days (check stubs,
public assistance checks, un
employment checks, etc.),
verification of Social Secu
rity numbers for everyone in
the home, and the most recent
home heating bill.
Depending on the availabil
ity of funds, the regular pro
gram will open to the general
public on Dec. 1.
All interested applicants
are asked to contact Christy
Hill at Ninth District Oppor
tunity, Inc., after 8:30 a.m.
by calling 706-677-3921 on
the date of the program they
qualify for.
