PACE 5B THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2008 THE BANKS COUNTY NEWS Jackson County Superintendent, Dr. Shannon Adams, visited Maysville Elementary School, along with Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Keith Everson, and Transportation Supervisor, Dennis Patrick, to serve as judges for Maysville’s Clean and Safe School Poster Contest. Each student in grades K-5 created a poster to display how the school can be kept clean. A winner was chosen from each grade level and awarded a Wal Mart gift card. After reading “The Gingerbread Man” during shared reading, Renee Tootle’s kindergarten class at Maysville Elementary School mixed, decorated, and baked their own gingerbread men.
