Death notices
Wallace Howell
Wallace Lawrence Howell
Jr., 57, of Baldwin, died Friday,
October 17, 2008, at Northeast
Georgia Medical Center in
Gainesville, after losing a battle
with cancer.
Born in Fulton County on
November 18, 1950, he was the
son of the late Wallace Lawrence
Howell Sr., and mother and step
father, Dorothy and Merle Strange
Nelson of North IBA&W
Glen, Colo. He BSMH —
was a member
of Bethesda
Fellowship Church, and enjoyed
camping and spending time with
family and friends, loved ones
stated. He was preceded in death
by a brother, Robert Howell.
Mr. Howell was a veteran, hav
ing served in the United States
Army.
Survivors in addition to his
mother and step-father, include
his wife, Helen Howell, Baldwin;
daughters and son-in-law, Lauren
and Matt Jinks and Drew Howell,
all of Lilburn; step-daughters,
Jamie Davis, Turnerville, and
Jeanne Shook, Demorest; a son,
John Howell, Eastpoint; step
sons, Michael McDuffie, Baldwin,
Wayne Church, Mt. Airy, and
Dwane Roach, Maryville, Tenn.;
brother and sister-in-law, Stephen
and Allison Nelson, Colorado;
sister and brother-in-law, Debra
and Jim Keifer, Clermont; seven
step-grandchildren; and two spe
cial Vietnam veteran friends, Ted
Clark and Eddie Forrester.
Memorial services will be held
at a later date. The family is at the
residence.

Brenda Reems
Brenda K. Reems, 57, of Alto,
died Saturday, October 18, 2008.
She was born in Hall County
on March 23, 1951, the daughter
of the late Arthur and Dora Bell
Butler Parker. She was a member
of Grace and Mercy Ministries,
and was a supervisor with VCC
Child Support Enforcement.
Survivors include her hus
band, Mike Reems, Alto; sons
and daughters-in-law, the Rev.
Keith Reems and Amy Reems,
Clermont, Brent and Tara Reems,
Mt. Airy, and Neil Reems, Alto;
and a brother and sister-in-law,
Kenneth and Linda Parker, Lula.
Funeral services were held
Tuesday, October 21, at the
Whitfield Funeral Home with the
Revs. Keith Reems and Wayne
Tench officiating. Burial was
in the Yonah Congregational
Holiness Church Cemetery.

Richard Garrett
Richard Garrett, 68, of
Pendergrass, died Saturday,
October 18, 2008, at BJC Medical
Center, following an extended ill
ness.
He was bom on April 27, 1940,
in White County, the son of
the late John Henry and Dollie
Abernathy Garrett.
Mr. Garrett was father of Tina
and Mike Queen of Lula.

Tuesday, October 21, in the cha
pel of Memorial Park Funeral
Home with the Rev. Bobby
Griffin officiating.

Harold Bellomy
Harold Kenneth Bellomy, 61, of
Maysville, died Tuesday, October
14, 2008, at BJC Hospital.
Born in Ridgeland, S.C., he was
the son of the
late Cecil and
Ida Gertrude
Collins
Bellomy. He
worked as a
construction
supervisor
and was a
veteran, hav
ing served in
the United
States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife,
Linda Perry Bellomy, Maysville;
sons, Scott Bellomy, Tucker, and
Tommy Bellomy, Commerce;
grandchildren, Kaitlynn Breanne
Bellomy, Kenneth Garrett
Bellomy and Kalebb Scott
Bellomy.

Gladys Payne Warren, 94, of
Alto, died Monday, October 20,
2008, at Bell Minor Nursing
Home, following an extended ill
ness.
She was born in Habersham
County on December 5, 1913,
the daughter of the late Enoch
K. and Etta Morris Payne. She
was retired front Chicopee with
26 years of service and was a
member of Mud Creek Baptist
Church. Mrs. Warren was pre
ceded in death by her husband,
Roscoe Warren; a brother, Phillip
