BATCHELOR McDaniel, Batchelor marry Oct. 11 Jacqueline Marie McDaniel and Thomas Chanse Batchelor, Homer, were united in marriage Oct. 11,2008, in Clermont, with Judge Margaret Deadwyler of ficiating. The bride is the daughter of James David McDaniel and Melinda Ann McDaniel, Jeffer son, and the groom is the son of George Thomas Batchelor and Janet Pyle Batchelor, Lula. The bride was given in mar riage by her parents. Lindsey Page served as matron of honor, and Shanta Steigerwalt, Jessica Lee and Amanda Nation were bridal attendants. Kyndall Al lison and Nyla Meadors were flower girls. Thomas Batchelor served as the best man, and Storm Parson, Alex Chambers and Ken Ed wards were groom’s attendants. Nicholas Page and Luke Steiger walt were ring bearers. Wedding music was provided by Andrew Chambers and Chris Steigerwalt. Jennifer and Mike Gearing provided photography. Jack and Joan Martin and Heath and Storie Allison conducted a sand ceremony. Denise Dale and Stephanie Smith were servers at the re ception following the ceremony. The bride’s book attendant was April Couch. The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner. After a wedding trip to various locations throughout Georgia, the couple resides in Homer. Saddle Club to host open obstacle challenge in Nov. The Banks Crossing Sad dle Club is holding its first Open Obstacle Challenge event on Saturday, Novem ber 1, at the Banks County Horse Arena. All proceeds will go to Generous Hearts of Banks County. This is a family ori ented event. The schedule is as fol lows: •lp.m., registration opens. •2 p.m., peewee class (6 and under). •3 p.m., riders walk the course. •4 p.m., the challenge be gins. There will be a $20 entry fee per run. Chocolate fair set for Nov. 10 The Banks County Convention and Visitors Bureau invites everyone out to the fourth annual CVB Choco late Fair on Nov. 10 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 pm in the Community Room at the Tanger Town Centre at Banks Crossing. The fair is a competition for ama teur bakers in which participants bring their chocolate creation entries and each entry is judged by a panel of judges and prizes are awarded to the participants with the winning entries. There will also be two new cat egories for the 2008 Chocolate Fair. They aie: Best Sugar Free Chocolate Entry Winner, $100, and Best Parent/ Child (age 12 and under) Entry Win ner, $100.
