Two wrecks reported in Banks County last week were caused by deer in the road. A deer in the road caused an Alto man to wreck on Yonah- Homer Road. In another report, a Gaines ville man said a deer struck his vehicle while he was driving on Browns Bridge Road. Other wrecks reported to the Banks County Sheriff's Office last week include the following: •two-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 51 North. A Bethlehem man said he stopped at the intersec tion with Hwy. 63 and then pulled into the path of another vehicle. He told the officer that he thought it was a four-way stop and that the other motorist would be stopping. •a Jefferson woman was parked at a Banks Crossing busi ness when someone backed out of a parking space and struck her vehicle. •a Jefferson man said he was parked at a Banks Crossing business when another motorist backed into his vehicle. •a Griffin woman said she stopped for traffic on 1-85 and another driver struck her car. •a Maysville man said he was changing lanes on Hwy. 15 when he struck another vehicle. •a Commerce man was stopped on Hwy. 15 when he was struck in the back by another driver. •a Commerce man was driv ing on Yonah-Homer Road when someone in the other lane struck his vehicle. •a Homer man said he was driving on Hwy. 164 when he “looked away for a minute” and struck another vehicle. •two-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 15. •A Homer man said he was driving on Greasy Creek Street when he misjudged a curve and left the roadway.
