At around 12:34 a.m. on May 26,
Banks County deputies were request
ed to assist Franklin County Sheriffs
Office with vehicle pursuit that was
travelling into the county on 1-85. The
driver of the pursued vehicle exited

on Highway 63 towards Highway 51

a deputy’s patrol unit and turned left
on Highway 51.
The pursuit continued to Hwy. 15/

ed by a Banks County deputy and
proved to be successful.
After the vehicle came to a stop,
Banks County and Franklin Coun
ty deputies removed the passenger,
Braxton Jones, 20, of Henderson
ville, N.C. As deputies attempted
to remove the driver, he began to
become combative and tried to flee.
A Banks County deputy did tase the
subject at which time he complied

Hendersonville, N.C., was arrested
and transported to Franklin County
