Gillsville resident
serves as student leader
Zaira Hernandez, of Gillsville, is among a number of
students at Eastern Connecticut State University who
are serving thousands of hours in the community this
fall semester as student leaders with Eastern’s Center
for Community Engagement (CCE).
Hernandez majors in Spanish and criminology.
Hernandez volunteers with Mothers of Pre-Schoolers

Student leaders attend weekly community programs
