Rio Bducmted Colored Mute. The daughter of N. W. Ashurat, col ored, returned to her home in Columbus laat Friday. She ia a deaf and dumb girl, and haa been at the asylum at Hart ford, Coun., and was graduated at that plaoe on the 23d of June. She haa bead at the asylum seven years, and thoroughly educated. Her name is Mary E. Aehurst. Her f si her is pastor of St. John's Chapel. We are glad to note that such an unfortunate should have had eueh advantages. Oelumbue Mon Abroad. Mr. O. O. Bedell ia in Dallas, Texas, employed aa book-keeper and doing well. He bad a severs attack of yellow fever at Shreveport laat fall. It waa generally thought here that he bad escaped it. Mr. T. M. Golden, former foreman of he Sun office, is doing well on the daily papers of New York. Mr. John Stewart, formorly a printer in the same office, is now employed in a book printing eatab- > llahment in Brooklyn. Mr. Blau, tha younger, is making plenty of money at hotel keeping in Hampstead, Texas. In that State ex-Oolumbua man are found in every town. The term of service of the old County Executive Committee having expired, the Chairman tendered the resignation of ita members, and asked its acoeptanee. A new Executive Committee was appointed, but we are not now able to give all the names. The volume will also embrace full information concerning the churches, factories, <tv,, now existing. We do not propose to publish thie compila tion with a view to making money, as the small price asked for it will show. But at the same-time we do not want to lose money by its publication, and therefore we wish to limit ths number qf copies printed to the dc- mamlfor the work. With this object in view, we issue this prospectus, inviting those who desire copies qf the volume to send in their names. The price will be one dollar per copy for a pamphlet bound volume, printed on paper like the specimen sheet issued.
