Tbe order of the Fneuda uf Tcmper-
si.ee was established ia Columbus one
year ago. The last quarterly report
-bused ninety good and effective mem
bers. The order baa accomplished wan-
ileiful reformations during these short
twelve months. Though opposed by
iusu) difficulties, the members have stub-
ournly pressed forward in their good
work, and qmto a number of the viotima
of intemperance have been realaimed.
i'ho first anniversary of the order in
Columbus will be oelebrsted in one uf
he churches ou Monday evening, the
39th inst. Distinguished speakers have
been invited and will attend.

rate to New York to $34. This is a re
duction of two dollars. No round trip

was telegraphed that round trip ticket*
to New York were selling for
$37 from Atlanta. Banker James
bought one hundred of them for
$3,700, and is now selling them at
$50. Tbe railroad companies would self
no more, and now you can't get a round
trip ticket—*11 rail.
