The Democratic members of the Legisla ture met, Friday night to consider tile terms of the compromise sug gested by Re i > resen tat ive Wheeler, of the committee. These terms in cluded the resuming of their seats in the Legislature and the recognition of the Kellogg government. The terms were finally adopted -38 yeas t,<> 27 nays. Wilts, tin* Democratic Speaker, and McEncry, Governor, strongly opposed them, backed by the Jiitlh'tin , while the Pirat/une favored if. To-night a meeting was called by the McEneryKes, and the compro misers denounced as traitors, and threatened with personal harm if they persisted in carrying out the agreement. This had the effect to intimidate many Conservative Rep resentatives. A fe\v still adhere. Eight battalions of Carlists mad** a furious attack on Alfonsoist troops near Atoza, making a bayonet charge, which was repulsed with great loss. A decree has been issued in Spain requiring the military and naval offi cers to abstain from attending polit ical meetings. The st rike among t in* mill op<*ra- ■ tivos at Fall River continues. Nearly 2000 weavers and spinners, mostly | females, have been idl<* for nearly a fortnight. It is announced that the next consistory will he held at the Vati can, in Rome, some time next month. Nine new cardinals will be unpointed. Among the nnmber will be Arch bishop Manning. It is expected that the appointment of two or three American cardinals will bo made. Three of the persons who robbed the Adams Express Company of a safe, variously estimated as contain ing from thirty-seven thousand to live hundred and twenty thousand in bonds, of which two thousand were in greenbacks, have been arrested, and arc now confined in the 15th pre cinct station house, N. Y. Other ar rests are expected, and the name of the persons arc withheld. K v. Dr. Harrison is speaking in Atlanta on the Temperance question.
