There are few outrages reported

there are few manufacturers of tliem—
because Hester has been dismissed

It is deplorable that there are
Northern journals so malignant that
they will hot give theHouth a particle
of credit for anything. If they hear
of an outrage of any kind occurring
there nothing will do them but they
must charge it to political animosity.
If they can hear of none, it is, they
say, an ominous sign, the calmness

betokening a violent storm, Detroit

Austrian Finances.
Austria, in fact, suffers to-day from
the events between 181'J and 185'J, and
sho and Hungary have, like the
United States, been unable to borrow
enough money within their own bor
ders, and, like ourselves, have to pay
away millions for interest which are
not spent in the country. Holland,
especially, lias battened upon Aus
