THE VITASCOPE,
Edison’s Great Invention to Be Seen
Here Two Nights.
Notwithstanding that the vitascope
has been frequently described in these
columns no one is prepared for the
wonderful revelations that are pre
sented. The vitascope leproduces life
like scenes on the canvass with such
naturalness that the closest scrutiny
is necessary to detect that the figures
are not human beings. Most of the
scenes are amusing, and the famous
kiss scene is so realistic as to com
pletely vanish the knowledge that the
parties are not in full iife before the
eye. The watermelon scene is also
rich, and the juice of the melon as it
trickles from the negroes’ mouths
shows how minutely the work is done.
The vitascope will exhibit at the
opera house Friday and Saturday
nights this week. Prices, 19, 20 and
30 cents. Ladies admitted free on first
night if accompanied by one paid 30
cent ticket.

the kind ever made in Georgia, and
naturally attracts much interest. The
arguments were not concluded.
Frightened Horse.
One of Morris & Lee’s horses ran
away at the depot last night, almost
completely demolishing the buggy.
The horse, freeing Itself, made a wild
dash through the streets, with a por
tion of the harness clinging to it. No
one was hurt.
