HOW THEY WON IT.
The Uniformed Knights Show The Public
Their Drill Tactics.
From Newcastle to the Bay yester
day afternoon the streets were livelier
than they have been in many a day.
Several thousand of Brunswick’s citi
zens were out to witness the exhibi
tion drill given on Newcastle by Ogle
thorpe division No. 4, Uniform Rank,
Knights of Pythias.
The team that won so many laurels
for our city at the grand encampment
in .Savannah showed the people all the
evolutions that they went through in
the company drill, and there was not
a break or fault in the execution of
i he movements.
Captain Newman’s ringing voice
could be heard far down the street,
and the elegant and masterly manner
in which he handled the company
showed iiis right to the distinction of
the best captain in the state.
The Marine band led the Knights
in tie parade and discoursed sweet
music in front of the Oglethorpe dur
ing the drill.
