Has a Startling Experience
in Pennsylvania
CAME NEAR KILLING THREE BOYS
and Being Killed Himself. Boys Were
Caught in the Meshes of His Airship
and Carried Up a Thousand Feet.

stood helpless and viewed with horror
an aooident that occurred yesterday
when the livee of an aeronaut and
.three boya were in' imminent danger
during an exhibition at the I.owrey
circus, David MoDade, an aeronaut,
was preparing a trapeze ret from a
bar attached to a balloon and para*

an Instant the big [airship left the

rose the third boy, Wallace Cartright,
aged 10 years, until he appeared but a
mere speck in the sky. The crowd

-Last night tfce Grand was packed to
euffora’ion by one of the meat enthu
siastic audiences of the season. The
attraction holding the boards was the
Brunswick Riflemen and Marine Hand
Minstrels.
Tbo performance was given with
smootheness, and while this is not the
debut of the .Riflemen's gay trouba
dours, yet it is but their "seoonde,”
ami, therefore, deserve great credit for
(he lirst class entertainment furnished.
The rise of the curtain revealed n
picturesque tableau. At each extrem
ity of the emi-oircle, with tambo and
bones in baud, sat, stood or jumped, a
tbo grostesquencss of the act de
manded .
On the left. Jim Ttnkersley in blue,
Gret nwood in white, with bones, later
reinforced by Omar Hensel in red ; on
(he rigid, the ta'mbos— Harry IST l'ir
m blue, .Joe Freeman in white, iater
supplemented by Charlie Doetfl-i gor
in red. These clever comedians got off
their gags and jukes with the
“aplomb” of old timers, their local
hits arousing the mirth of the heuse.
