a whole day there with a guide, who
described all the fine paintings and

the ataircaae that Cbriat walkad

Pontius Pilate, taken from Solomon’s
temple at Jerusalem. The excavations

yesterday, they discovered a most
beautifnl oil paintiDg in a sepulcher,
and a coffin of line mossio, buried over
two thousand years before, in perfect
preservation. We also weut to the
plaoe yesteaday where they bebe-dsd

of water, wbiob sprung up, and tbs
