2 FOR A NEW BUILDING. ibrary Association May Get a New Home. It Is Probable That a Ba zaar Will B§ Given in November for This Purpose. ‘ The Brunswick Library association is working earnestly towards a realization of its hopes in regard to the possession of anew and handsome building in the near future. A plan is on band now to give a ba zaar probably about the last of Novem ber to raise funds for building material, labor, etc. Heretofore the money real ized from entertainments has gone to wards buying new books and renewing subscriptions to periodicals, but hereaf ter the proceeds will be entirely devoted to the building fund. The library, therefore, must be self-supporting through its subscribers, it only requiring about two hundred regular subscribers to make it perfectly independent. A number of new books have been or dered, and It Is hoped that more than ordinary interest will be shown this winter in library matters, to encourage and assist those who arc working so faithfully towards establishing the work in our city. The entertainment in the fall will ba most unique and quite out of the ordi nary run of bazaars, the ladies being in communication with people in other cit ies where new and original entertain ments are being given. A great num her of Brunswick's popalar citizens have already volunteered help, and a great success is anticipated. The following standing committees were recently Hppoin'ed Jiy j. Orr. Miller A Son, the en terprising furnjture dealers, are al wajs thinking of something new, and their latest is very unique. Those who pass their store will notice a handsome bookcase in the south win dow. The price of tins' handsome pieoe of furniture is $25.00, but the amount it will bring, depends upon the popularity of bookcases with Brunswloklans. The plan is simply this: Everyday, one dollar will be deducted from the prioe. For instance, at the end of seven days, it will be soli for $1S,00; if it remains there seven dsys more, $ll.OO will take it; if at tbe end of tweuty-t.iur days no one buys it, on tbe twenty-fifth day $l.OO wl'l b* the pr cs.
