QUESTIONS ANWERED.
Yes, August Flower still ha# the
largest salejol any medicine In the civ
ilized world. Your mothers and grand
mothers never thought of using any
thing else for Indigestion or bilious
ness Doctors were scarce and they
seldom heard of auendlcitis, nervous
prostration, bean failure, etc. They
used August Flower to clean out the
system and stop fermentation of undi
gested food, regulate the action of the
liver, stimulate the action of the ner

sii they took when feeling dull and bad

Questions Answered.
Is there any objection to plnuting
peach trees ott oewly cleared land?
Ana. Itx my opinion newly cleared
land should never be planted In peach
trees U other good peach land la availa
ble. Load should be cultivated at least
two years after clearing before planting
it in orchard.
The reasou: Now land cannot be prop
erly prepared for the reception of trees
on account of the root# of the forest
tree#. Thorough preparation of the
ground before planting is one of the
essential factors in fruit growing. Deep
preparations Wore plan ting and shallow
cultivation afterwards is the rule.
Furthermore, troes planted on oew
laud are subject to the attacks of Ter
mites or “wood-lice," as they are com
monly known to the fruit grower. These
insects breed in great numbers in de
caying roots of forest trees and whan
fruit trees are planted is new land they
fall an easy prey to those “wooddioe, M
which attack the roots and the Gaee of
the tree. The remedy for "wood-lice”!
is tobacco dust. Tho dirt should be re- j
moved from tho base of the tree and j
band full of tobaeoo dust applied and
the dirt thrown back.
Rest. Crop In tho Peach Oiekssh
What are (;be best crops that om bd
grown in a peach orchard without mate
rial injury to tho trees?
Aus. Ootton, cauteloupes, sweet pota
toes odd peas. It is not desirable to plant
corn or" any grain orop in au orchard.
Gotten is, perhaps, by far the beet ottp
to grow in an orchard. It practically
insures 6 good cultivation for the trees
almost throughout tho season, just what
they need. No good farmer will fall to
cultivate his ootton orop, hut he may
neglect his trees.
When pea* are planted in an orchard
they should be planted in drills and
cultivated so that the tree* will not,
suffer for cultivation. Never sow pia
broadcast in an orchard’ Amf thus pre
vent cultivation.
These crops may i profitably grown
with the trees only for the drat two or
three years. No crop ghould be grown
luau Orchard after the third year.—

Every woman loves lo think of the
time when a soft little body, all her
own. will nestle In her bosom, fully
satisfying the yearning which lies in
the heart of every good woman. But
yet there is a black cloud hovering
about the pretty picture in her mind
which fills her with terror. The
dread of childbirth takes ix'&j much
of the Joy of motherhood. And yet it
need not bo so. For sometime there
has been upon the market, well-known
and recommended by physicians, a
liniment called
Mother's mend
Which makes childbirth as simple and
easy as nature Intended it. It Is a
strengthening, penetrating liniment,
which the skin readily absorbs. It
gives tho muscles elasticity and vigor,
prevents sore breasts, morning sick

It is a mistake to tike any and every kind of medicine when you sre
. Sick. There is danger in it Most of the so-called cures for “ female
weakness” do nothing more than deaden the pain temporarily, and when
dfethe effect wears away the patient is weaker and sicker than before. It is
never wise to take chances. You have only one life, and that is dear and
precious. If you have any pain, ache, disorder or weakness in the femi
nine organs, nothing will help you like Wine of Cardui. It helps do
away with morning sickness during the early stages of pregnancy, and
modifies the pains of childbirth; recovery is rapid and future health is
assured. The Wine is purely veg
etable, being made of herbs whose
medicinal properties act directly ! Foradvioe In cases reqXl" special
