One of the foremost applicants ie Mr*. W. Y. Atkinson, wife of the for mer governor. Hbe called on Governor Candler several days ago and askid that the governor appoint her. The governor would not promise Mr*. At kinson the place. It !• conceded that Judge X, L. Hutchins, of Lavrencevllle, a close friend of the governor, will he the next librarian. He made application fully six month* ago, and it is now stated that the governor has decided upon him a* the next man.
