Besides Nominating An Aldermanio
Tioket Mayoralty Candidate
Will Be Endorsed
The Good Government Club forces
will gather at the court house tonight
to nominate the next mayor and four
aldermen of the City of Brunswick.
For more than three years the Good
Government people have waged deter
mined political battles, and now al
Brunswick, recognizing the good faith
and sincere purposes of the organization
stand ready to give them cooperation in
their eff >rte in the interest of thor
oughly businesslike and progressive ad
ministration of the city^a /fairs.
Natu ally much interest attaches to
the meeting at the court house tonight.
It ia conceded that Mr. Emanuel will
have the unanimous support of the club
for mayor. A uumber of prominent
gentlemen have been mentioned for al
dermen. but no one can say who the
nominees will be until the club act*.
Certain It Is that the next mayor and
board of aldermen will have a great op
portunity to make a record for them
•clyes. Brunswick Is das ined to have
a splendid growth w'.thia the next few
years, While the admlninration must
be progressive and broadminded, it it
absolutely essential that the flrating in
debtedness be reduced, that the princi
pal streets be paved, and necessary
improvements made.
It Is said the platform to be adopted
tonight lays down in unmistakable terms
definite polichsof retrenchment and re
form, and demands, at the same time, a
thoroughly progressive policy upon the
part of the administradon.
All supporters of tkec'ub and its pol
icies are cordially in vlted to be present
at the meeting.
