M. Davis on Mulberry street in a call meeting, the object of which was to discus* the Symons bill which pro vides for a state board of health. After reading the bill carefully go ing ovor it section by section, it was decided that that it wm too lengthy and cumbersome tor the wants of tbie county, and Mr. Walter G. Smith, the county attorney, was instructed to draw up a bill that would meet the demands of this county, and, If possible, present the same to this session cf the legislature. The object of the bill is to provide lor a state board ot health, so that the county wIU have fu 1 power to act in handling all kinds of infections and contagious diseases in tbeout of town districts or tho county. The comm Issimiers found several ob jections to the bill, as it attempted to deal with the situation in every eoun>j in the state. Attorney Smith will draw up a bill and if possible wU cochins it with that of Mr. Symons'.
