More Arrests Made.

Captain Anderson, of S rvannah, Dies in
the Philippines,
Washington. Nov 7. —A cablegram

Captain Robert H. Andirst n, of the
Ninth infaotry. Captain Audersoo
was appointed to tbe army in 18S-1
from civil life, being credited to Gec<-
Kia.
Captain Andeisoo wsc born August
27, 1861, In the olty of Savannah. He
had beer an cfliier ia the Ninth in
fantry for several years, in command j
of Company A. Ha served gallantly
iu Cuba and then accompanied bis
regiment to China, having bosn active
ljr engaged In tbe expedition to Pekin.
Ha was exposed In tbe heavy engage
ments just after Tien Tein and ripen
the arrival of the allies at Pekin tie
commanded the American detachment.
Ha leaves a widow and two daughters.
His mother, Mrs. R. H. Audersor, and
bis sister, Mrs. William Allen, bulb
reside in New York. Captain Ander
son was tbe nepbew of Major George
W. Anderson and of Ciareuoe G.
Anderson. His father was the man
who organized the Savannah p 'lice
force and was at Its bead for years.
