Like all fairs of the kind it costs nothing to get in,but one sees so much to buy and has so many argon appeals from the earnest workers in side that they must be stonehearted in deed to get away without contributing their share toward the noble purpose for wbioh the fair is being held. The ladies report that business is good. Tonight, is R flemen’s night, and the beys and their friends will be ont in force. Tbe drill for the medal is ex citing great interest and every one Is anxious to see it. The November, orange and fruit booth, is managed by Miss Hattie Mook, assisted by Misses Maud Hood enpile and Regina Marx. It ie deoorat ed in white and gold and contains an orange tree ladened with oranges that sell at 1U cents eaob, and ten or twelve tbemooutain valaablep rlzes.you pay of your money and take your oboioe. and if you are fortunate get a prize. Then oomee the; April, or doll both, in green and rose with a large Japanese umbrella spread over all, It is presid ed over by Mrs. F. Moßrown, with Mrs. C, P. Goodyear and Misses Mary Goodyear and Mary Porter as assist tints Next and at the extreme end of the hall, is the March or candy booth. This is white and briliantly decorated with numberless varie-colored electric lights wblob make it the brightest both of all. It is beautiful, and ably managed by Mrs. George Coates and her assistants Mrt. J. A MoDoflia and Miss Rosa Coates. The arrangement of this booth is entirely due to Mrs' Coates and Mrs, McDuffie. The December, or Christmas tree both is another prize scheme. All arti cles on the gaily deoorated Christmas tres are numbered—you buy a number and get what it calls for. Borne of the prizes are very fine. It is oonduoted by Mrs. Curtis and her assi. tanta are Mrs. Mroozkowski and Miss Lucy Hoizen dorf. Next the Febrdary and June, a com bination booth, is devoted to books and fanoy artioles on the February end ar.d to fl iwers—natural and artifloial—at tbe June end. It is decorated very prettily in pink and white, and pre sided over by Mrs. E. Fabian, with Mies Boyle, Mrs. Abrams and Miss Julia Mahoney as assistant. The September, or grocery booth, is green and pink. This is a prize booth where you buy groceries by ohancs Every package contains an artioie large or small. It is under tbe man agement of Mre. M, E. Minnebau, whose assistants are Mrs. Herfet, the Misses Tali'*)*; and Miss Carmen. May, or tJe/accy article booth, is arranged as etilay pole with the bright ribbons of all colors deooratiog it. Hers are displayed for snlo beautiful fancy goods of all kinds, This booth is in charge of Mr*. Will Taylor, whose assistants are Mrs, M. Kaiser, Miss Annie Mahoney and Mrs. W M Topper, The large room off to the right is the August or supper booth, where Mrs. J, Ross, Mrs. D. Wright, Miss K, Ross, Miss Nellie llamberg and Miss Shep pard supply the wants of the inner man. The Ootober booth is a room at the end of tbe ball fitted up with rustic furniture and devoted to the use of those who wi*h to smoke. NOTES OF THE FAIR. The fair will be open today at noon for two hours when lunch will be served. On Thursday a regular Thanksgiving dinner will be served at 6 o'c'ook.
