Many artiolea were disposed of and all tbe booths did a thriving business. To define wbat is unlawful riding upon railway trains in tbe city of Brunswick, to provide a peaal'y there- for and for other purposes. Section ’ Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Brunswick in oouuoil assembled, and it ie hereby enaated by authority, tbe same, that from and after tbe pise age of thieordinanop.it shall be unlaw ful for any person not a member of tbe train crew or otberwiae connected with the ruuning of said train to ride upon any railway engine, passenger oosch, freight or other car within the railway yards in tbe City of Bruno w'ok when the same is not actually en gaged in tbe transportation of pvesen gers, provided that tbis section sball not apply to persona authorized to ride thereon by the proper officials of tbe railway company controlling tbs Bame. Way, ot'zsns and freeholders of aaid city, be and are hereby appointed superintendents of the eleoMon to be held in this city on the second Tues day in December, 1901, for the election of four aldermen. Be it farther resolved, That each of suoh superintendents is hereby author ized to sehot his own olerk for such eleotlon. Two Performance* Given and the Crowds W3 = Pleased. The Sparks oirons arrived in Bruns wick yesterday on schedule time and soon had their tents Up in Magnolia park. They gave two performances and a free balloon ascension that were fully up to wbat they advertised, The show is a very good on® for the price and it is free from many of tbe unpleasant features and rough bangers on that usually distinguish a show of the kind. MEMORIAL SaRVICES. The Brunswick Lodge of Elks Will Meet Today. It is customary with the Elks to hold Memoria'services on tbe first Sunday in every December, snd the Brunswick lodge will meet at their lodge room this afternoonnfor that purpose. The Rev. C. G. Bradley of St. Jude’s church will deliver the eulogy on departed members of the lodve. The exerolses whiob are only for members aud visit ing E ks, will be very impressive and interesting.
