In vuraute ce to request of the McKinley Natioaal Memorial Asso iation whose I statement to thi pub ,: c is published in another column in tois paper, we take this method of cdlirg the attention of the people of Brunswick to the subject and to ask their co operation in this very lauda ble undertaking. It is the purpose of the Associ ttion as defined in the certificate of incorporation to erect and maintain at Canton Ohio, a suitable memorial to the late president, and to raise the necessary funds for that purpose by popular subscription. As stated by the Board of Trustees cf the Association “the memorial is to be in the highest sense the sincere expression of al* the people of the country of their love for President McKinley at-d of their admira tion for the qualities ex . reseed so emi nently in hie life and deeds.” As they also express it “It is the purpose to have the offerings of the pceple voluntary with a full opportunity to all to contribute.” Feeling confident that the people of Brunswick, who have shown that their love for the late president and their grief over the tragic ending of hie noble career was as sincere and heartfelt as that which found expression elsewhere throughout our strioken land, will desire to participate in this great national undertaking, we do not hesitate to ask in behalf of the associa tion, their hearty 00-operation. The following well known citizens of Brunswick have been selected as a com mittee to receive contributions in behalf of the association; N Emanuel, C Down ing, W.G. Brantley, C. P. Goodyear, F. D.
