The processes being secret, it is not desirable ill the interests of tlie Company to give any detailß, but the secret documents have been duly sealed and deposited with the Company 's solicitors as per agreement with Mr. Meldrum. A working capital of $50,U00 is ample for the manufacturing of 50 tons of camphor, cellu loid crystals and by-products per month, and for which a market lias already been acquired. The gross profit oii this production is estimated to give, after bearing all charges, a sum ot not less than $120,000 for distribution on the Preference and Ordinary shares, leaving a sum of $70,000 for the purpose of reserve fund, or for further extension ol the business. The Company also acquires 250 acres of land, a dwelling house and an abundance of lino timber. The purchase price for tne land is $6,200; for the rights to manufacture, under the various processes. *282.000. leaving a balance of *211,800. The total cost for building works and installing plant and machinery capable of producing :j tons per day is $61,800, leaving the work ing capital at $50,000, and SIOO,OOO for future issue. The only agreement existing are: Ist. Between the Company and Arcbd Meldrum. wherein he sells to the Company the American rights for manufacturing at $282,000 and 250 acres of land, including dwelling house and timber at $0,200, total $288,200, payable as to $158,20G lu cash and $130,000 in Ordinary shares. . t „ 2nd. Agreement between the Company and Archibald Meldrum, wherein the latter agrees to act as Manrging Director for 10 vears at a salary of $5 000 per annum. 3rd. Agreement between Archd. Meldrum and the Industrial Trust Company, 60-(t2 Liberty street. New York, as to the guaranteeing of thi* issue. Mr. Meldrum will tie a large stockholder, liav ' agreed to accept, a large portion of the Burehase price in ordinary struck, thus showing the business will lie conducted upon safe linen [r. Tills Company will consider the manufacture of various chemicals and *oz especially Arsenic, and for which there is a growing demand. A convention was held at Brunswick, Ga on April fl. tool, to con, der ihe cultivation of the plant known as "Cassava.’’ Starch can be manufactured at a low cost from this plant, and should it ba planted to any great ex ant in this State, s arch manufacturing will also be considered. It Is estimated the Company will be in a position to fill older* early next year. Already arrange ments liave been and are being made for the sale of the total Output of the Company's products. Tlie advantages of manufacturing a' Klaekshc&r are many. kindly, the air is pure; secondly,be water is good and fr.-e; thirdly, labor is cheap; fourthly, transportation is easy, as the railroads would run into the work*; fifthly, ii is handy for New Yy k and ottier markets, also for shipping. The imports of Camphor for year 18iii> amounted to 1,807,51! lbs., valued at $322,1(1), and in liKO, I,TS‘J,SBO lbs., valued at $48.'.,071. It will be seen there is a good outlook for this Company.
