SGHS Federal Credit Union announces merger with Marshland Credit Union Southeast Georgia Health System Federal Credit Union (SGHSFCU) announces approval by its members to merge with Marshland Credit Union. According to Jim Andersen, Chair man of SGHSFCU, “the merger is necessary to meet the demands for more services for its members such as internet banking, ATM’s, retire ment accounts and mortgage loans. Upon merging, members will have a wider range of financial products and services available immediately.” The merger will take place on January 1, 2009, and members will have access to their accounts at any Marshland Credit Union Branch beginning January 2, 2009. Jeff Hol combe, President/CEO of Marshland Credit Union said, “We are very excit ed to have SGHSFCU members as part of our credit union family.” Chartered in 1953, Marshland Credit Union is a $100 million dol lar federally insured credit union located in Brunswick with 5 locations serving residents and businesses in Glynn County, Brantley County, and McIntosh County. Deposits in Marsh land Credit Union are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. “I NCR to locate Center of Excellence in Georgia Fortune 500 company will expand within existing Peachtree City, Duluth facilities Governor Sonny Perdue and NCR Corporation Senior Vice President Christine Wallace announced last week that NCR, a Fortune 500 tech nology company, will establish a global Center of Excellence in Geor gia, colocating several key compo nents of its Worldwide Customer Service operations and creating 916 new jobs in the next 26 months. In conjunction with this expanded service presence, the headquarters for NCR’s Worldwide Customer Ser vices business will also be located in Georgia. The 360,000-square-foot facil ity in Peachtree City will be exten sively remodeled to create a world- class service support environment and training facility. The Peachtree City and Duluth facilities will house interrelated functions that support service delivery to NCR’s customers throughout the U.S. and Canada, and coordinate with NCR service centers in other regions to support custom ers on a global basis. The Board is seeking nominees who, by reason of their occupational or other experience, scientific expertise, legal expertise, or training, are knowl edgeable regarding the conservation, development uses, and management of Georgia’s coastal environment. Nominees should have a strong conservation ethic in order to achieve the responsibilities of the Committees under the Coastal Marshlands Protec tion Act and the Shore Protection Act. Nominees must be able to work collec tively with other Committee members to make difficult decisions to achieve the natural resource protections estab lished by those Acts. Nominees must be willing and able to make the com mitment to participate fully in Com mittee business and related activities for the duration of an anticipated four- year term.
