A stomach bug has put me way
behind with turkey day plans but I
know we will be thankful for what we
have and won't miss what didn't get
baked! The mountains are in their win
ter dress and we are enjoying seeing
homes we don't get to see in the sum
mer when the trees are full of leaves.
We seem to have more birds and squir
rels right now than usual and of course
Gracie hasn't learned that they can
fly faster than she can! The first day
- 10 degrees cold - I dressed her in a
sweater and she quickly went down
and jumped in the creek! She really is
smart in lots of ways, but that was just
plain dumb!

As we were driving around today I
saw a sign at a little mountain church
that says "We are thankful ... for
Jesus". May we all go forward into the
Christmas Advent season with hearts
full of thanksgiving for God's great gift
to us and may we each show our love
