During their May 20th commission meeting, the Brunswick-Glynn County
Joint Water & Sewer Commission recognized King & Prince Seafood
Corporation and Rich Products Corporation for their excellence in Industrial
Pretreatment.
Both industries were awarded a plaque in appreciation for zero Industrial
Pretreatment permit violations during the regulatory year March 1, 2009
through February 28, 2010.
The local Industrial Pretreatment program was established in 1982 as mandated
by the Federal Clean Water Act. The program requires all Industrial users
discharging to the Academy Creek Water Pollution Control Facility to meet
specific limitations for their production wastewater.
The JWSC appreciates the partnership of all our Industries in helping to keep
our coastal waters clean and safe.
