Smith passed away at the home < of bis mother, Mrs. Amelia Smith, I who lives near to Jeterville church. The debased was hardly twenty years of age. Ho was a worthy young gentleman, industrious uud courteous. He is survived by bis widowed mother, one brother, and ati older brother and sister who were the children of Mrs. by her first hus band, Mr. Hutchens. This sister lives in Columbus, and was among those who rushed to the stricken home. He is also survived by several uncles and aunts in thia section, who grieve with the bereaved ones. His remains were brought lure for interment in the City Cemetery Saturday. Rev. C. I). Cox, pastoi of the Baptist church, conducted the impressive funeral service by the open orave.
