Merchandise Burns Sunday afternoon goods of the Consolidated Grocery Store, Mr. W. H. Robert j, Prop’r. and Mr. R. Kimbrel, Mgr. were found to he burning. Several days ago when a car load of cow feed, chicken feed and other heavy groceries came in, it was neatly stacked against ti e wall to-ward the west. This is a solid brick wall be tween the two stores in which the Messrs Kimbrel and H. Stein merchandise, except in one place where an opening was iaft a few I feet from the rear for a chimney jin Mr Stein’s store. Last week being disagreeable weather, the chimney was used almost contin ually, thereby heating the wall hot enough to fire the sacks con taining the feed that were directly against the chimney. Fortunately the fire was dis covered about 4 o'clock P. M., in I time to put it cut before any ma- I terial damage was done, and in I time prove conclusive how the tire I originated.
