Mrs. A. J. Poole, of Ashburn,
who has been spending ‘he last two
weeks with Mrs. L. R. Nix, left
Friday for Bainbridge, to visit her
daughter, Mrs. Durwood Roberts.
Messrs Fouy Brown and Marvin
Nix, of Donalsonville, spent Sat
urday night and Sunday with the
latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L
R. Nix.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mock, of
Cowarts, Ala., spent the week-end
with bis parent's Mr. and Mrs. J.
L. Mock.
Mr, and Mrs. R. H. Hatcher, of
Cairo, came Sunday, accompanied
by her brother, Mr. Cliff Mock, to
sppnd the day with their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Mock. The day
was much enjoyed as all the child
ren were at home.
Services were held at Maybhw
Sunday with only a few present.
The pastor, Bro. Foster, was en
gaged in a revival at Centerville,
and Bro. Wright, from near Blake
ly, filled the Mayhaw appointment.
We were glad te have Bro Wright
preach for us.
Mr. Lester Mock, his wife and
little daughter spent Sunday with
his mother, Mrs. Cindy Mock.
Mr. Lester Mock, of Iron City,
Miss Ann Tolbert, of Brinson,
Miss Golden McDowell, of Col
quitt, and Miss Joan Tolbert spent
Sunday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. L. R. Nix.
Mr. Eugene Nix returned to his
home her from Miami. Fla , Thurs
day. All are glad to have him
back again. He enjoyed bis trip
through Florida, and his stay in
Miami.
We are very glad to know Mr
and Mrs. Joe M. Sbinglerare back
in dear old Georgia- Friends are
always glad to t>ee them. We hop*
for them a nice trip while here.

Bascom, Fla, dined with Mrs. L.

of H. G. Rawls as admr. of the estate
cf B. F. Rawls, deceased, late of said
co., to sell certain lands of said B. F.
Rawls, deceased, for the purpose of
paving the debts and distribution, there
will be sold before the court house door
of said co., in the city of Colquitt, Ga.,’
at public outcry, to the highest bidder,
between the legal hours of sale, on the
first Tuesday in Sept. 1926, as the
property of said deceased, the follow
ing described lands to wit: 25 Acres
of land lying and being in the north
west corner of lot of land no. 172 in the
13 dist. of said co. nnd state, same be
ing two and one half acres north and
south, and ten acres east and west. The
terms of said sale to be cash, this the

Sesqui-Cer.tennial International Exposition, open ag in Philadelphia Juno »
and continuing until December 1, to celebrate 150 years of American Indepentk
'ence. At the foot of the sculpture is shown Pompeo Coppinl, the sculptor.
Dr. Henry Waldo Poe, of Portland, declares the face to be the most correct
