Hav-, act ing been on the club last year, he of course appreciated the fact that the fellows wished to be with the ladies and he arranged enough ladies and cars -to go around, with some to spare. Circus Day, Too. The concert at Dalton went off in good style. Joe Crudup offered a solo or two for the benefit of the home folks and they said he did it well. “The program was * all that anyone could ask,” commented sev- *ral who attended the recital. This, made the fellows glad for they were especially anxious to give a good program there for tjie sake of Cru dup, Fred Caylor and McWilliams, all Mercer boys who claim Dalton as their, home. Even as the club had hit it luckily at Locust .Grove, so the boys were lucky again at Dalton for Wedne day was circus day and the bunch saw the parade before leaving Wed nesday for' Calhoun. Ariving at Carrollton on sched uled time, the fellows were met at the. staton by a number of the girls : of Guy Cheney’s home town. The boys, were with those same girls I most of the time during the after noon, riding around oyer the City and talking with them at the recep tion given in tfie afternoon by the ladies at the Woman’s Club. After the concert another party 1 was given iti honor of the boys and , when the clock tolled the hour, of midnight, the fellows returned to quarters, pronouncing the day at Car rollton a great success. - To make the visit complete, the girls galled for the fellows Saturday morning and took them on a ride over the country.
