The WltWier of the two dollar prize in
the Senior Class limerick contest, held
thiii week on the campus, was John C.
Young, a.Senior, Both the second and
third places were taken by the same
man, Tom Cobb, While the fourth was
WOit-by'John Gilbert.
Miss Sallie .was chosen, to Judge the
contest, And, Tuesday morning after
some deliberation' she announced the
winners, raying that the - limerick-by
Young was by far the best.*
Snou after the announcement of the
contest, the whole school began lime-

ECENTLY Hal Harris dressed
as a girl, tripped down to the
City Auditorium and heard
the Cleveland Orchestra white
surrounded liy s bev^ of college girls,.
he quit -his usual feminine, role of Misa
Maliet Jackson, which he. takes for the
Dramatic Club,, and, for th« Senior
Clasa, played the part of Misa Eve
Dropper. , .1
There were two purposes behind
this. First, Hal wanted to get the
latest fads in feminine-mannerisms in
order to improve his acting the part, of
a modern young girl. TJie second pur
pose (both s were suggested by Riley
McKoy) was for. Harris, disguised, to
get a sfo*y for the Senior Cluster on
what Mercerian was the most-talked-
of by the young ladies, on how they
reacted to inspiring music, and points
fish gestures and expressions.-

McKoy thought he planned perfect-,
ly. He secured a ticket'.to a reserved
seat for Harris among the college, girls
and a ticket to the adjoining seat.
This last one was to be taken by one •
of McKoy's; numerous girls. She was
to he llaf’s companion. Harris was to
be driven in a car . to the auditorium
half an hour, early, by Hab Casson, ahd
take his -seat- before the crowd gath
ered. ", -
But all .this is as planned. In reality.
Casson could not be found until twen
ty minutes before the curtain, and
then he was unable to take Hal down.
Harris; dressed like a girl, walked—
wearing * pair of killing, stilt-like high
heel shoes. , ’
.On the way he -bogged up in mud
and changed the peaceful color of
these beautiful sky-blue -pumps to an
angry red. H« was further annoyed

rode by several times, blowing their
