Panty Raids
Cost Money
(ACPI—The male students at
Berkley, California, will probably
think twice before staging any more
panty raids. There was a really big
raid last spring and It wound up
totting students $6,100. That’s tip-
sum paid to girls who filed loss
claims with the dean of students of
fice.
After the raid on May 16, the men
of the organized living groups
arouud the campus contributed ap
proximated $3.60 per man to a
philanthropic fund to pay for resti
tution of damages. Individual
claims from the girls averaged
about $20 00. Many were as small
as $1.00, but at least one totaled
over $100.00.
