his PhD.
While gathering material for his
books, Dr. Williams says that he
runs into many interesting things.
He gave an illustration concern
ing his book P.G.T. Beauregard:
Napoleon in Gray. From studying
the will of General Beauregard, he
found out where Beauregard's
house was. When he went to the
place, he found a third rate apart
ment house.

Dick Shiver and Dennis Latham enjoy the “1812 Overture” in the hi-fi room located in 306 of the student center.
He questioned a man near the
apartment house concerning
General Beauregard's ever hav
ing lived there, and the man
bluntly told him that if he want
ed to find out who lived there
to look on the mail boxes for he
had never heard of the fellow he
was talking about.

By Dick Shiver
Students leaving the lunch room last week were startled by the
und of a baby crying followed closely by the sound of a cow mooing,
rhese sounds came from the hi-fi room located in Room 306 of the

It is only one example of the
type of recordings that one can
find in the hi-fi room. This room
is equipped with a fine hi-fi giv

Carmen”. Both of these operas are
"rded in their entirety.
Drama students learn that the
room offers many fine dramatic
recordings, an example being
‘Death of a Salesman”, with
Thomas Mitchell and the original
few York cast.
For the lovers of Progressive

that includes such favorites
Sherring or Brubeck.
