January 21, Alpha Gamma Delta
initiated four pi edges: Anne Clark,
Nancy Amistead, Nancy Massey,
and Willa Dale Meeks. Initiation
began last Monday when announce
ment of such was made. The pledge
final was given Wednesday, and
initiation was Saturday afternoon.
The Alpha Game have started
practicing for basketball and bad
minton. Harvey Cochran and Gary
Hannon are the coaches for basket
ball. and Tad Mollenkamp is the
badminton coach.

Universities and Colleges.
Kathy Wiseman and Marilyn
Maag made all A's for Pall quarter
and Lynn Kite, Tina Simmoral, and
Dori Ripley also were named to
the Dean’s List Eighteen promisees
made their grades and will be
pledged soon.
The Little Sisters of Minerva
have elected Lou Roberta as presi
dent and Dawn Lowranoe as vice
president. Rita Waldrop is vice

Phi Mu captured the Fail Quar
ter tennis championship with their
team of Tina Simmons, Ann Wood-
fin. and Elizabeth Bell.
The Phi Mus are now practicing
their basketball skills diligently,
under the supervision of their
coaches, David Wilbanks and Bob
Freeman, in hopes of capturing
the basketball championship for
the fourth consecutive year.

KAPPA ALPHA
The KA’s began Winter quarter
with the “beet Conviviuro ever"
Saturday night the annual celebra
tion of the birth of Robert E. Lee,
spiritual founder of Kappa Alpha
Order. Despite fatigue after the
pledgee’ defeat (28-13) in the
pledge-brother football game, KA’s
filled the evening with banqueting,
toasting, and dancing to the music
of the “Klansmen".
New brothers are Tom Caut-
hom, Wright Do via, Bill Dayton,
Jack Daniels, Roger Poeton, Jim
my Pipkin and Bob Lanier. They,
alo * with the other brothers,
pledges, and promisees, will soon be
putting away the razors (not neces
sarily growing beards, but putting
away razors) in preparation for
Old South in the spring.
Last week KA pledged thirteen
former promisees. The new pledge
Haas officers are: Steve Wright,
president; Johnny Grimes, vice-
president; Lamar Siaemore, secre
tary; and Sam Giles, treasurer. The
promisees, who are devoting winter
quarter to diligent scholarly ap
plication. are taking time out to
join the pledges each weekend in
attempting to COPE with certain
problems which the brothers solve
in true KA spirit by teaching the
old saw — Sometimes one bites
off more feathers than one can
chew.

The Crescents are proud to an

The Phi’s have begun plan* for
another notorious Sweetheart
Weekend schedule for the middle
of next month- Although having
lost their first game, the Phi Delt's
have come back strong and are
still not out of the running for
the basketball title.
The Phi’s recently had a Hay
Ride but unfortunately, Ronnie
Jackson was struck by a ray of
Sunshine and fell off the Wagon
while traveling down Forsyth
Street. The Macon Police have
awarded the entire chapter with a
plaque for good conduct for the
first three weeks of Winter Quarter.
New Phikeias include David
Duncan. Mike Harris, Tom Rey
nolds, Dsvid Whatley, and Steve
Wolham
Brother Art Hapner has just
been employed by Middle Georgia
Natural Gas Company, and we are
confident that with Brother Hap-
ner's outstanding ability, he will
go far in this endeavor. On behalf
of the entire chapter, Georgia
