ADPi's Are Tied For First
In Overall Sports Trophy
Tha ADPi’s are now tied (or first place for the overall sports trophy.
This was announced after the victory over M.I.C.A. in softball which
fitve AD Pi first place in that area and after two consecutive victories
in ping pong last week which put AD Pi first in that area too. The
ADPi's would like to thank their coaches, Jim Wood and Greg Paul
ette, who were marvelous for the roses they sent in congratulations to
the "softball champs".
In another area of athletics the
P.’s did not fare quite so well The
Sigma Nu Relays were fun and
ADPi did win the pie throwing
r ent and the surprise event, but a
third place was still the best
S< hieved. However, the Pi's are
reining up! ! 1
This week will be the decisive
one as to whether or not the ADPi’s
cun retire the Campus Sing trophy
after winning for the past two
yean. Practice has been hard but
lota of fun. For Campus Sing the
Pi's are wearing all white and red
ribbons naming all the states as
they travel around the U.S.A. sing
ing songs from each region through
the help of the airline hostess,
Sandra Rich. Marty Gregory has
done a fine job working with the
songs and arrangements and we are
all grateful to her for her hard
work.
Vince Fallin is the ADPi nomi
nation for the Ugly Man Contest.
Good luck Vince! ! !

Sigma Nu’s four day weekend be-

from last year Chi Omega by a

finished a strong third with 21
points and Alpha Gams a close
fourth with 18.
The Phi Mu victory began with
the first throw of the rolling pin, as
they led all the way through fierce

The Friday festivities began at

the girls ended up ’’Bagged’’.
The fourth day saw the Sigma

day of skiing and exploration. A
lot was said about the matching

and Thomas? And Sunday night
our weekend ended with a White
Star and our memories that will live
forever in our heritage. And to this
weekend we thank social chairman
Ted Brown.

LAMBDA CHI
HAS WEEKEND
This past Friday night Lambda
Chi's and their dates rocked out to
the sounds of Buddy’s Buddies at
the Pinebrook Inn.
At the intermission Thomas
Thompson received the Best Big
Brother Award, A1 Walea the
Best Brother Award, and Rob
Brown the Best Pledge Trophy. A1
so the coveted trophy for activity
above and beyond the call of duty
went to Brother Fred White for his
extreme interest in extra-curricular
activities. Any comments from
Granny?
Saturday saw the big blow out
held at the Moose Park. Brothers
and dates spent an afternoon and
evening of Bacchanalian revelry in
the sun and suds. "Cradle Robber”
was seen mostly on the bumper cars
in hot pursuit ot the flag waver.
It was hard to say who lost what
but a reliable source has it that he
was seen rumbling through the
trunk of his Cadillac in search of
momentary solace. At this time we
are sorry to announce that Rat's
Mout got grossed out due to cir
cumstances beyond his control
In aU, the weekend was a blast
despite the fact that there was a
visit from Jimmy Blood worth's fin
est The decibels were hurting bis
earn but the Moose were quite
apologetic about the incident. Can
our new pledge fill the shoee of
Tom Lang? Will the Toccoa Terror
walk where angels fear to tread?
The High Jew is again praying for
money, but Padgett is just praying
for a little understanding from the
opposite sex.

quite as high class, the Candymen
were on hand at the Sparky O'Cain

Phi Mu's Rotir* Rolling Pin
The annual Sigma Nu trophy,
decked with a rolling pin (which
was retired this year) and a bent
Pabst can, proudly sits in the Phi
Mu suite after a successful after
noon at the relays. But behind that
trophy lies one sprained hand, two
broken toes, one chopped heel, one
sprained foot, and one lost tail-fea
ther, (hub, Gussie?) The coaches,
Ted Brown and Bill Westwood,
could add a few more casualties
ranging from a chocolate face to a
muddy ....
Thank you Sigmu Nu, for an en
joyable afternoon, a "beauteous"
trophy, and what’s more, the selec
tion of Nancy Smith as your new
sweetheart Sandy Carroll, Susan
Chesire, Susan Strange, and Claire
Bowen, were also honored by being
chosen to be on the Sigma Nu

Stardust On Wesleyan
Our Stardust Weekend last week
was a tremendous success. Fri
day night during the intermission,
Roger Dunaway, our Grand Mas
ter, presented the Outstanding
Pledge Award to Brother George
Weich. Harry Davis was presented
with the Best Rusher award. Bro
ther Dunaway also presented a
gavel to past Grand Master, Brince
Manning. A small token of our ap
preciation was also given to Bro
ther T P. Haines who always seems
to be around when we need him.
Saturday night turned out a little
different this year as the girls took
the boys in, and deposited them on
their doorsteps. One brother was
ready for the rack when he reached
the room.
Sunday night Brother Haines fed
us a delicious Sloppy Joe supper.
Evidently he knew that erecyotxe
would be broke.
Our Alumni Open House was at
tended by approximately twenty
alumni and their wives. Some were
even here from the old 1911 grad
uating class. A program was pre
sented and District Grand Master
Bill Murdock presented a plaque
to past alumni advisor Emory Wil
son.
In the ball and chain column
Brother Rick Davison is pinned to
Mary Cartledge of the University
of Ga. And it is rumored that Bro
ther Mike Reid is lavaliered, or
something anyway, to a Wesley-
anne???
KA's Sponsor Bacon
For Ugly Man
Most KA’s were away from cam
pus this weekend, either partying,
going to conventions, or home with
their mothers. Wright Davis and
Tom Cauthorn attended the Geor
gia Collegiate Press Association
convention at Callaway Gardens,
where Tom was elected Treasurer,
thanks to the political strategy of
our chapter politico.
Kappa Alpha proudly announces
their candidate for Ugly Man, Ed
Bacon. Gary Brenner is being
sponsored by Phi Mu.
Tom Cauthorn and Becky Sims
(Phi Mu) are lavaliered.
These last weeks of school have
brought honors to the Alpha Gams.
We wish to congratulate Milly Cole

to Clara Whitlock for her initiation
into Tri Beta, and also to Dorothy
Hardage, Andrea Jackson, and
